  • It’s important to note the age of those comments. I made those almost two and a half years ago when Lemmy was effectively new. Back then, Exploding-heads was edgy and the admins there were actively trying to moderate their instance and communicate and work along other instances to make theirs more palatable. I warned against defederation because otherwise, it’d create echo chambers that’d run opposite to the concept of federated websites.

Because SJW is set by democracy, or used to be, that means that Exploding-Heads was defederated, and other instances took note and also defederated. With no need to interact with the rest of the fediverse, they dropped their masks and adopted neo-nazi bigotry and hatred. They were probably always like that, I don’t know, Exploding-heads wasn’t something I kept track of after it got defederated.

Again, bans are handled differently in MoG. They are 24 hours and double in time per infraction. There is no such thing as a permanent ban. Right now no user should be banned.

While we are discussing, what is your stance on [email protected] ?

I like the idea of that community. lemme know if i ever appear on it

If you have any questions or concerns about MoG, I can answer them.

  • No one is banned from [email protected] community as it currently stands. MoG, or MWoG, as you put it, is very unique in that bans are handled on a 24-hour basis, which doubles per infraction.

That means that no ban is permanent.

Tankies such as yourself are allowed to post in the community so long as you follow the rules, which are very easy to follow, just don’t say that communist atrocities are good, easy peasy. MoG is also one of the most politically diverse communities because of this rule. It allows leftists, rightists, and whatever flavour of tribalism you want to dress yourself. It’s all fair game. You and your instance however? You do not allow this.

  • It goes much more than that. It started as the rise of atheism, where impressionable young boys, wanting to be rebels discovered the dopamine rush of dunking on religious wackjobs like the Westboro Baptist Church. Not blaming atheism, just pointing out it started here.

It then extended further to video games and gamergate. Then they started getting political, which naturally led them down to 2016 and current times.

The point remains that the majority of them blamed wokeness

  • The radicalisation of young men stems from blaming them for being straight and white. It also stems from a dividing culture of men and women. This is the product of all of those “girls / boys” memes.

They grew up in a good, progressive world, where they understand sexualities and understand mental health. They grew up being taught that it’s okay to be diverse and that it’s okay to be as you are. But then it turns around and suddenly they’re all to blame for their race, or their orientation, things that they cannot prevent–Well, no wonder they’re going backwards. Once their favourite games and hobbies are infiltrated by wokeness and forcefulness, this is how they respond.

Should’ve realised that perhaps forcing social equity isn’t a good idea, and blaming young men and boys for the faults of society doesn’t gain their favour. Nah, instead let’s double-down even.
