So i bought a 14700k for Black friday, and a Z790 UD Gigabyte motherboard.

Both are LGA 1700 sockets, The shop i bought them from said that they are compatible.

Were they wrong? What would cause my monitors not to turn on?

The motherboard LED is stuck on VGA.

Please help!

    If you are using a graphics card, try reseating it, make sure its power cables are plugged in. If you cannot get a display out from the motherboard from the igpu, try reseating the cpu. If you haven’t tried using the motherboard out, try it.
