It’s not flat and i prefer not to modify the shroud for resale value, reading through some of the comments inspired me to do something different, I’m thinking laser cut a plastic sheet with a different logo then put a defuser sheet at the back see how it’ll look.
If flat cover it with paint or vinyl
If embossed /indented
Remove the shroud and eith sand flat…or fill with body filler
