Infrastructure investment doesn’t mean a lot when that investment is to a for-profit company in which their only means of profit is new infrastructure. The most expensive (and therefore profitable) type of infrastructure with the lowest maintenance cost use fossil fuels.
This is nonsense. American infrastructure is held back by outdated regulations, not by the free market. If anything the free market is a big asset in infrastructure development and this is proven in the US, the other capitalist democracies, and even in China.
