hurts… but if i were to upgrade, i doubt it’s worth it. a bigger oled screen? nah. slightly better performance? no. it’s probably not worth it.

How long ago did you buy it? Valve may let you return it.

Bigger screen, bigger battery, better input response time, longer battery life (battery and apu improvements), some reviews showed slightly better performance due to the new RAM (mainly fixing stuttering in some games).

Also saw one person got a steam wallet credit for the difference in price between their LCD version and the price drop for the LCD versions.

That’s kind of the point. It’s a refresh not a Steam Deck v2. Their intention is not to have everyone replace their deck or make existing users feel like they got the old, bad ones.

It’s a refresh, shows that Valve is still committed to the Deck, and also sets some expectations for when the Deck 2 comes. And some perks for those that really want a nicer screen and faster WiFi.

One person bought one less than a month ago, Valve offered them to return it for an OLED or get a store credit.

Try reaching out and see what they say.

I bought mine this year, just sold it for a loss, but several months of play was worth what I paid. Can’t wait for the new deck to arrive
