    Cool! The marker tip weakness is one of the dumbest, most expensive flaws in any of the remarkable products. It’s to the point where they’ll pretty much just send you a new marker, warranted or not since it’s such a big issue- but this is a great solution!

      Making a solid tip might damage the screen, it’s better to make nibs that wear out quickly than a screen that wears out, this is basic physics, something is gotta give.

      The company spent several years working on the writing expetience, I am sure they studied all the possibilities and adopted the optimal approach.

        … If you look again, this is a replacement collar to hold the tips in place, not a replacement tip.

        It doesn’t look like this is a 3D printed tip, just a collar to go around the collar on the stock tip and reinforce it. My boss broke two stylii (remarkable replaced one) and then we made a 3D printed collar like this for him. So far so good since.
