Hi,

So I have some DJ decks I want to run a LED strip around. I have looked into Philips Hue and whilst it would be good if the decks were permanently at home there are times they are used not on my home network. So having to bring the bridge would be a pain.

What would be the best alternative for this? I know of Soundswitch but looking to keep it simple and just have a LED light strip that goes round the decks and is automated to the beat with a built in mic/usb powered.

Getting overwhelmed with choice online and ebay/amazon models are not clear if built in mic is included on strip or relies on smartphone.

Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Alternatively, is there a way to set a Philips Hue led strip to mic input by default so it would not need a bridge to pickup music?

Would Zonoff with Home Assistant be able to sync Philips Hue Lights with Soundcard/Virtual DJ master output?

Thanks,

You could look at Quindor’s dig2go if you do not want to go full diy (i am just unsre if it has pins for a microphone, if not look at the digUno).
