Greetings all,
I cannot find a comparison matrix for the two following seemingly identical Core i9 CPUs. Can anyone tell me if there are any significant differences between these two… especially to justify the $110 price (Canadian) difference? The first one is labeled “special edition”… what does that mean? They both have the same part number.

Intel Core i9-12900KS Special Edition Desktop Processor 16 (8P+8E) Cores, 24 Threads, Up to 5.5 GHz Unlocked LGA1700 600 Series Chipset, Support DDR4 & 5, PCIe Gen 5.0, 12th Gen Boxed (BX8071512900KS)
$599

Intel Core i9-12900KS Desktop Processor 16 (8P+8E) Cores Up to 5.5 GHz with Intel Thermal Velocity Boost, featuring Intel Adaptive Boost Technology LGA1700 600 Series Chipset 150W Processor Base Power (‎BX8071512900KS )
$481

Thanks so much.

If it says i9-12900KS, then that’s what it is. There isn’t a difference, they’re the same thing.
