Literally just canceled my spectrum services yesterday and it felt amazing. Went from paying $111 a month to T-Mobile home internet for $30 a month.
That’s the dream. Unfortunately my street is a dead spot for every carrier so I am stuck still…
My last address was in the same situation, the only carrier was spectrum and they knew it so they charged out the ass for it.
I use A LOT of data and I need the lower latency that a wired connection brings. For most people that’s not the case and I can totally see proper 5G connections becoming the norm.
Using my phone as a modem on my pc works amazingly well so I could easily see a world where that’s home most people connect. Either via USB or hotspot.
