Should I get for example cl30 5600mhz 2x48gb or cl32 6400-6600 mhz?
Wondering whether I’ll actually be able to run 6600 mhz ram.
I have 96GB 6800 CL34. XMP no problemo runs on first boot (14900K, Asrock Z790 LiveMixer). Even tried to push it a bit to 7200 with lower timings but I have to spend more time on it.
I just built a new system and my workload is typically around 60gb of usage. Was considering getting 96gb but ended up just getting 64gb 6400mhz kit as it was priced well. I don’t want to tweak timings as I need it to be stable for longer code compiles. Everything has been working well so far. 14900k is a beast for my use case of productivity and also gaming.
I’m running 2x32gb of XMP 6400mhz cl32 from gskill with my 14700k on a Z790 Sonic. It’s very stable, have had 0 issues regarding memory so far
I would get the fastest 96 GB kit on your QVL and I recommend Gskill personally. Running 48 GB 8000 at XMP no issues.
Flabbergasted that not more people recommend checking out the QVL first.
I am stable at 6800 and 14900k. T create.
7200 or above.
5600 CL28
T-create 2x48-6800
Just wonder, but are you happening to be using 4090?
I was only able to get 48gb @ 6800 to pass memtest. It would boot at 7200 but not 7000 SMH. But 6800 with tightened timing stable no errors. 13700k ocd 5.8, msiz790a, 4070ti,
96gb can go up to 6800 on mine. I saw a video somewhere, the guy oc his 96gb to 7200 but needed a ram cooler fan to keep stable.
I have 96GB of 6600 C32 running at 6800 c32, Hynix M-die, Corsair, on an Apex Encore.
I’m running a 96GB (2x48) 5600 DDR5 corsair kit with a 14700k and it’s working fine. I was too cheap to go faster. It just worked though. (z790)
13900ks memtest stable 4x16gb 6400 cl32
14700k memtest stable 2x16gb 7200 cl34
