I do encoding, photo editing and sometimes while I am streaming Netflix and playing a GAME - roflmao - ADHD what can I say, focusing on any one thing is pretty tough for me.
I have a 13900K.
My wife and son, however just do streaming video and gaming so THEY are BOTH getting 7800X3D’s (as a matter of fact my wife started putting hers together today with the help of another son :-)
The 14700K is also quite capable of performing the Encoding, Streaming a video, and playing a game at the same time tasks - it’s just that the 14900K will enable more FPS in the game for example, or that encode will take 45 minutes instead of an hour for example.
If you have the moola and need the fastest multi tasking CPU because of your average daily workload then buy the 14900K.
If you have the moola for a 14900K but your average workload will be playing games and streaming videos then get the 14700K and use that savings, as someone else said, for a better video card :-)
