“Israel has the right to defend itself, but this response must respect international law,” he continued. “We must urgently stop the humanitarian catastrophe.”

Sanchez, who was making the trip with his Belgian counterpart, Alexander de Croo, also set out Spain’s position on the conflict, which includes a two-state solution, the recognition of Palestine, and a peace conference.

Spain should cut ties with Israel. Just follow South Africa’s example.

We still don’t know the actual casualty figures. All we have is information from the Hamas terrorist group.

They are taking the word of Hamas terrorists.

Whom they consider highly reliable in regards to reporting of casualties.

6 weeks ago those “highly reliable” Hamas sources were beheading babies and raping their mothers.

Ah, I thought you were being hyperbolic, but you were seriously trying to claim that the Ministry of Health members are the same as Hamas.

No. I am stating that Hamas terrorists control what they say.

And yet every major organization and multiple governments, including the US, consider their numbers reliable. So they clearly don’t think Hamas controls what the Ministry of Health says.

The casualty figures provided by Gaza’s medical institutions are generally agreed to be considered trustworthy because they’ve been consistently confirmed afterwards, by organizations such as the WHO, across the years. I understand distrust of Hamas, but these figures come from medical professionals, who generally just want to do their job regardless of the political figures they have to answer to.

Personally, I’m more worried about the potential mortal victims of the internal displacement due to the shitshow of forcing over half a million people to leave their homes to refugee camps that have serious difficulties to receive supplies, which might currently not be properly reported due to the lack of organization.

The trouble is, they say whatever Hamas tells them to say. Information coming out is going through a terrorist group’s filter. International governments aren’t allowed to monitor what’s happening inside.

What the hell are you talking about? There are a multitude of journalists and international observers, risking their lives and dying to be there covering the facts and verifying.
