Source (in Japanese). This is technically not a visual to commemorate the anime, but rather it is to promote a musical concert celebrating the 15th anniversary of the anime’s premiere. There is a seventh season of the show that has been announced, but as of yet, no release date has been provided.
This is legit such an underrated gem of an anime, at least underrated in the west. It’s so good.
I originally came across this anime when I was looking for shows that were similar to Mushishi. It ended up not really scratching quite the same itch, but it is very good. I agree that it is really underrated in the West as I hadn’t really heard much about it before starting it.

It’s a great show! Basically, the main character, Natsume, can see yokai and they tend to cause problems in his life and the lives of people around him. He finds out that his grandmother also could see yokai and left him her “book of friends” a book in which she recorded the names of all the yokai she befriended (usually through defeating in battle) during her life. Natsume decides to return the names from the book back to the yokai they were taken from.
Overall, it is a pretty chill show. Mostly a slice of life with the aforementioned supernatural elements. There are occasionally moments of suspense as the yokai are not always friendly, but it isn’t too bad. The show is a fairly comfy, feel-good experience. I have included the proper synopsis from AniList below for reference.
Natsume has always been an outcast because he inherited his grandmother’s ability to see yokai. After moving to his grandmother’s hometown and accidentally releasing a yokai imprisoned in a Lucky Cat statue, he learns about his grandmother’s “Book of Friends,” which contains the names of the yokai she defeated, and allows its wielder to command the yokai named within. Since then, yokai now visit him on a daily basis, seeking to either get their names back or take possession of the Book of Friends.
