Also: TV on 16 hours a day even when nobody is watching it
One the favorite shopping channel
Yeah, unlike us enlightened folks who spend all of our time either on Reddit or Lemmy!
We are conscious about picking only ethicaly-sourced misinformation producers.
Yeah meta pulled a sneaky on them: “Dear Mrs. Boomer, we can show you pics of your distant relative’s babies for the feeble price of your soul.” “Where do I sign?”
And the FBI pulled a sneaky of them too: Gary Webb commuted suicide by shooting himself in the head. Twice.
Where did he commute it to?
After the suicide he mainly works from home now.
That and COVID.
Isn’t that like a stretch to believe the feds had him killed?
Maybe if you do too.

“Maybe they’re born with it 🎵maybe it’s lead poisoning🎵”
Them refusing to go on the internet for so long while it evolved into what it is today is probably a big part of the reason why they’re easy to fool today but let’s not kid ourselves, extremists born from social media aren’t all boomers, the misogynistic movement we see growing today is mostly people under their mid thirties.
Men pretending to be victims of feminism or whatever is very reminiscent of the dominant religion in the US, Christianity, pretending they’re oppressed.
Meanwhile genz and millenials think they are ultra capable and still mob target harassment and bullying innocent people online until they commit suicide. I haven’t seen a boomer try too SWAT anyone for giggles yet.
TV babies.
Given that my mom is on it 24/7 doing the most dumb “personal quizzes” that probably got her account hacked, it seems like they’re going to take facebook to the grave at this rate.
Like a lot of things from their generation, they were projecting things that they would do, onto others instead.

Just a single study, but found that boomers were better at identifying misinformation.
I’ve seen several to the opposite, that they were more susceptible to misinformation like Fox News
Tbf I noticed a lot of millennials and genz are really bad at generalizing boomers into one category and fail at knowing when exactly boomers were born. I’ve seen genz call millennials boomers. They aren’t exactly shining examples of common sense or any real information that is usable for anyone. Just online cat fights.
I prefer the lead gas line. Anyone who remembers leaded gasoline can be generally categorized as boomers.
You remembered. BOOMER!
Boomers LOVE news
So… Lemmy is for ageists turds just like twitter is for racists pieces of shit. 👍
imagine if they started using tiktok
Most of the videos will be blurry, black, or with a huge face close to the camera, while a vague “Linda is it recording?” mumbling heard
Facebook nuke them with notifications and sounds, keep them engaged and confused
