I don’t really care for looks I just want something that has good performance and not trash.

      I had 2 pump failures in less than 3 months with the frozen Notte 360s. The 2nd failure was the replacement for the first one. I didn’t take a 3rd.

      I agree here even though I personally wouldn’t get an air cooler for a 13700k. Nothing wrong with one but just not for me.

        14700k @ 265w load in cinebench r23 never breaks 90c and never throttles. this is with a phantom spirit and a contact frame. harder to cool than a 13700k too because of the extra e-cores.

        Peerless assassin SE works well for me. Temps never get higher than 85. PL 255 with slight downvolt

      I am using a Noctua NH-U12A with a 14700K. After changing to stock Intel power limits and a mild 0.075 adaptive underclock I get idle temps of 30-33C, gaming temps of 40-45C, and work temps of up to max 66C depending on the application I am using. I expect the results will be very similar with a 13700K. It is a very efficient air cooler. Of course if I was aggressively overlocking I would have to use a decent AIO.

    I hate questions like these. Will you plan on running with or without power limits? Just get a decent air cooler if you don’t want the best performance

    I’m going to say the same thing I always do, and thats the artic II 240, because its cheap and I have one and it seems to be able to handle just about anything.

    Are you sure that you wouldn’t rather just get a good air cooler?

    Pumps eventually fail, and the 13700k doesn’t need an AIO. A good air cooler could potentially last many decades, though you would eventually need to replace the fans (and, thankfully that’s very easy to do). The trend in motherboard design is to make them compatible with previous generation coolers (AMD did this with their AM5 platform, and even a lot of AM3 coolers were easily convertable to be compatible with AM4 and AM5 systems).

    I’ve been using the same air cooler (a Noctua NH-L12) for about 9 years, first on an AM3 system, and currently on an AM4 system. The fans still sound as quiet as when I first got it. The quality of this thing is amazing.

    I’m using a corsair h150 on a 14700k with kryonaut paste and Max temps I’ve seen is 82 degrees. It’s a budget aio

    Currently running 14900k using Lian Li Galahad II 360 LCD. Keeps it cool but it’s definitely not a budget AIO.

    you don’t need an aio. seriously, save your money. on my 14700k (harder to cool than a 13700k because of 4 extra e cores), i am under 90c all core load running cinebench r23 with a thermalright phantom spirit 120 and a contact frame. that’s with a 265w load. you’ll never see those numbers in a game either.

    I’d also recommend Arctic Liquid Freezer II, 280 or 360. It’s one of the best performers while being cheap for an AIO. Although that radiator is big and needs a big case.
