ddr5 price dropped significantly so you should really consider upgrading to ddr5 32gb. Any MSI Z series motherboard will be good 690 or 790 so check the market and choose the cheapest one with good reviews. Just make sure motherboard supports appreciate RAM -ddr4 or ddr5.
The most important factor in choosing the motherboard is how good the vrms are and how well are they cooled. So look for large quantity high quality vrms with large heatsinks from MSI.
you can get i7 12700Kf for $200 at amazon.com. You can’t beat this value. Even i5 12600KF for $140 at amazon.com will be enough but i7 retains resale value better.
but why fast charge? just plug it at night. Fast charging = more heat = faster battery health degradation. Mac batteries are expensive to replace
Single core performance will still be higher. Multi core performance might even be tiny bit smaller vs M2 pro. M3 pro will be significantly more efficient vs M2 pro as well.
I thought F or KF processors are better if you own powerful modern gpu. Intel iGPU and cpu share L3 cash which in theory could negatively affect cpu performance or latency.
