Hey, it sounds like the app you’re trying to use expects the server to be running Lemmy 0.18.0, which is the latest version.

I’m sure lemmy.world will upgrade in a couple of days, I believe they are waiting for 0.18.1 to release. In the meantime, you can try making an account on another instance that is already running 0.18.0 and using that to browse/interact with the Fediverse through the app.

I like the asyncronous tournament approach, it gets around things like latency and everyone can do it in their own time.

I hope it works out, if the core game is fun (e.g. the driving) then everything else sounds like a fun twist and good use of crypto tech. I look forward to seeing how it develops!

Other instances will only automatically see posts in this community once at least one of their users has subscribed to it. I’ve now subscribed to DriveWorld from a couple of the largest instances, so that any future posts here will also be visible to them.

My recommendation is to repost this so that it may also federate to the large instances and hopefully get more attention.

Yes you will need to create an account on the other instance. Many (I would say most?) instances allow open account creation, you may have just been unlucky with the one you looked at.

Make sure to select a language (e.g. English), I’ve seen it do this when no language is selected.
