Thank goodness, for a while there I was worried about their shareholders!

I’ve actually worked in shops when I was younger, ones that sold furniture and cheese, which for someone as sheltered as me was shocking - took me about two days to recover!
Jokes aside, I totally understand these jobs exist but what I meant was that the OP picked some weird jobs to support their backwards ass point.

I’m sorry, you count “selling furniture” or “making cheese” as normal jobs? Call me sheltered but I’ve gone over 30 years on this planet and never met anyone who’s done either lol.
I’m sorry officer, but speed limits don’t apply when the solo to Free Bird kicks in
Literally any of the Ace Combat games! They have absolutely no business going as hard as they do in an arcade-y flight sim but good lord they are just incredible. I listen to the OSTs whilst I’m working all the time when I need pump up music - Zero is particularly good!
You’re making a great decision! It’s more expensive than regular mayo but jeez is it worth every penny. We have a Korean shop near us which stocks it at lower prices than regular supermarkets, so we go and stock up occasionally
It’s absolutely different, a much deeper and more umami flavour! We used to just use it for Asian type dishes that called for it but it’s so good that we’ve essentially replaced normal mayo with it at this point
Normal mayo (like Hellmann’s or Heinz) is fine and all, but goddamn Kewpie mayo is the shit. It’s easily top 3 readymade condiments in our fridge; we’ve always got a bottle on the go!
I think it’s a Beyderdynamic DT 1990 Pro. Could be wrong but they look identical to me
Oh for sure, it’s more about who it is than the fact it’s happened at all. Cameron quietly slipped away after the Brexit vote and used his position to lobby for a number of his business interests, like Illumina. However, a I know a number of Tory voters who still love him and have him up there as the best the party has had in a long time.
It kind of feels like the Tories are scrambling to find a face who a lot of their disenfranchised base don’t immediately hate, especially after Patel and Braverman have been so reviled. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out before the election - wonder if Cameron has any intentions of running for leadership again.
About near fell off my chair in shock at this one - seems like even the news outlets are a wee bit surprised too
That was a genuinely interesting read and I can’t quite get over the figures involved. Sure, you hear of people earning big money on only fans but $13 million is wild. Appreciate that’s only a tiny percentage but I’ve seen CEOs of well known companies that take home far less than that per year.
I do wonder how it’s all sustainable though - I guess for the individuals maybe not but as long as there’s a fresh influx of creators and consumers, the company can keep running ad infinitum.
Unfortunately it’s just not that simple. 40% of workers in the EU sit for their job (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/products-eurostat-news/-/ddn-20190305-1) and I’d hazard a guess that the majority of those will be in offices that give you a standard computer chair and desk. Most people just don’t have control over their work environment to be able to do that.
Totally agree, however, with getting up and moving about - I feel like shit at the end of the day if I don’t go for a walk at lunchtime. Used to get weird looks when I worked in the office and said I was going out instead of staying at my desk.
