“This”! Black gaffers tape. Leaves no glue residue. One roll should last you a very long time. I have kept a roll in my suitcase for years. Learned that trick when I had to travel for work and live out of hotels. Hotels have so many offending lights in a small area: TV, Thermostat, lights on the air condition unit, refrigerator, alarm clock, fire alarm, etc.

I was a long time Ubuntu user, until 2020, when switched my daily driver to Pop!_OS. I was still running Ubuntu as a dual boot with windows (that I need for that one program) on my work laptop, until a few weeks ago, I switched the Linux boot partition to Pop!_OS.
Rural California here. We are on a well and drink from the tap. It gets a mineral taste and smell in the warmer months. Much better tasting then the chlorinated water when we lived in town though.
paulgo.io. (searxng). A privacy-respecting, open metasearch engine. It also lists the location from where the results are pulled from, (i.e. Google, Bing, etc.)
Hands down, without a 2nd thought.
