I’d honestly be worried about the sheer weight of all the ants disappearing at once affecting the earth.

Yeah the deck takes practice to get semi decent in fps. I’ve been trying to research if it’s possible to counter recoil movements in game with the deck controls. Nothing yet but maybe someone will figure a work around.
I asked this question last well. Someone said it’s been noted and in the works with other decisions.
Counter strike works well on the deck.
Insurgency sandstorm works well on the deck. Needs to be plugged in as it goes through battery fast.
Battlebit Remastered is the latest that works well. Remap some buttons and it’s great.
I use gyro aiming on all of these (turns on with using L2 for aiming.)
Ants farming aphids on the ends of your cherry branches. I’m dealing with it too. Can try neem oil but it’s doing nothing for me. I try to avoid serious pesticides but I had some permithrin laying around so sprayed the leaves to take care of the ants and aphids. I have dogs so have to be very careful. Also don’t want to harm bees.
You can try a systemic aphid killer. Start it early next year to prevent this.
Getting other launchers to run can be tough so that’s probably why you’d think it won’t work. But to me it’s not worth the effort.
I’d go with emulating. Any PS2 FIFA game will work great. I’ve gotten WiiU roms to run well. People have gotten Switch games to work (I tried BotE but I need to organize the game files on a separate computer first and see if I can get it to work.) PS3 was a hassle to setup and won’t even work after hours of setup. Ymmv.
There are some indie games on steam you can try as well but they are more arcady.
Emulation of PS2 has been flawless. The setup is easy and you can get good looking graphics (I’m playing ratchet and clank series right now. 1080p makes the models look really nice. )
PS3 has been near impossible for me to get running on my SteamDeck. Others have said they got it working with titles being hit or miss.
2001 book was great. Arthur C Clarke has always been my favorite author. I think Rendevous with Rama would’ve been a more approachable story to adapt into a movie. Full of mystery and curiosity. Creative direction could go wild on art without changing bay of the books story. Starts with a mystery, reveals bits and bobs in the middle, ends with mystery. Leaves you questioning. Chefs kiss.
Haven’t really kept up with modern sci-fi opinion. So maybe my opinions are popular maybe not.
I believe Ilium and Olympos are part of the greatest sci-fi story ever written. Far better than Dan Simmons Hyperion Cantos. It presents wild and imaginative futuristic ideas with insane scientific basis for them.
You need to try more tomato soups.
Real trucks do have a full cabin my dude. Landscape/Hardscape crews prefer to take few vehicles onsite. Although we always get the normal bed size. Short bed is useless to everybody.
Just started the newest Wax and Wayne boom.
I’ve had the Sennheiser 599s (Open Back) for a long time now. I’ve always thought they were quite comfort. My ears tend to get sore if I wear tighter headphones or if a pit puts pressure in an odd spot it hurts. So these Sennheisers seem to have gotten the fit just right for me at least. They have a closed back version (it might be the 598s). Sound is also great, full range. I think the base is on the weaker side but that doesn’t matter much for me as I use them for video and audiobook/podcasting. You can always find Sennheisers on sale online.
I’m also a huge fan of my Sony wh1000xm3. Holds a charge for a long time (as long as you remember to turn them off when not using them.) Bluetooth connection works through walls and across my yard. Blocks a lot of noise. But I know some snobs aren’t into it’s popularity.
I’m not familiar with how Mastodon works (or the vernacular mastodon uses) but I know it is federated. So it should work the same way you subscribe to mastodon communities.
For Lemmy you find the community you want either by searching it on a search database (ex: https://lemmy.ml/communities) or just by browsing your feed.
You select and copy the address (ex: [email protected] , gardening being the community and thegarden.land being the server or instance).
When you have it copied (in the case of Lemmy) you insert it into the search bar and the result should be the community that you can subscribe to and be able to interact with on your own feed.
I’m sure this same principle should work for mastodon accounts as i can subscribe to kbin.social communities and mastodon communities this way on Lemmy.
Hope this helps you somehow.
Like the other commenter said you would do:
!community_name@instance_running_that_community
Only time you are linked to an instance is when you sign up with a username. Otherwise it’s subscribing to communities across the fediverse.
I’ve found his movies to mean different thing to each viewer. Sometimes I find a new meaning in the stories each time I watch. I haven’t seen this one yet but I’ve seen all of the others. Personally I’ve liked fantastic mr fox the best. So many different feels.
I think it defeats the purpose of his storytelling to have someone write it out for you.
