It’s a dumb headline because there are definitely people paying attention, just not the right people.

Returnal looks like so much fun!
This applies everywhere. I was looking at tickets as a Christmas gift and ticket prices for touring shows in Toronto are crazy. All the big name shows coming through this year (Lion King, Wicked, etc) are about $140-$190 CAD for average seats. The lowest tier tickets are still $90 and that’s for the seats wayy in the back of the balconies.
Add in the fact that many people travel to come see these shows (I’m personally 2.5 hours from Toronto), so 2 tickets, dinner, and maybe a hotel is now getting upwards of $700 for a night out.
I remember playing this game when it first came out as a mobile game. Super cool concept, but I also remember hearing the drama from the start. I definitely thought this game had been abandoned a looong time ago.
The article did mention that black mothers are much more likely to have CPS called on them when coming in for prenatal care and that legal matters around pregnancy “overwhelmingly target black and brown women”. The article seems to support that notion. However, there are a lot of elements to this case that make it very unique, even without racial consideration.
Following for an answer, this would be ideal. A locally hosted version of Google Photos alternative would be awesome.
Also, check out Selfhosted, there might be something there.

So project management on a personal scale is really varied based on what level of detail you need. I’ve worked with people who have ADHD traits and they worked best with a very micromanaged day, like there is a reminder every 15 minutes to keep them on track (that’s a generalization, but not far off).
But if you’re just looking for some broader structure to help organize projects you have to do, you can look at AI assisted planners to remove some of the basic breakdown work. You can ask ChatGPT to create a rough outline for some major projects, give it a time frame, and mention any other circumstances (work, childcare, only work 1 hour at a time, etc.), it will give you a decent outline to start with. You can then break it down further if you need to and refine the time line to best fit your own needs
There are lots of ‘personal project management’ books that can help to break it down, also good youtube videos on the subject. There are 3 primary things to remember though:
Quick note: reading/other resources won’t hand you the answers, they will only help to provide and explain the tools you would need to be successful. Good luck!
I also had the alias 2. I thought I was pretty hot shit with the fancy flip-both-directions phone. And I think there was a little display on the outside too, right? With the time and some other basic notifications?
Easiest thing to do is to change your wifi password. If someone happened to have figured out your password, they might be adding to your usage. If that fixes your issue, then you can likely assume someone was getting a free ride from you. If not, then you can check data usage on your devices and see if there is an app or something consuming a lot of data in the background from your regular usage.
Effective planning. It’s very easy to say " I’m doing this today and that tomorrow" but how realistic is that? Know how to break something down into its component pieces and be able complete them along a schedule. It’s basically project management, but for everyday stuff. It helps immensely to be able to tackle big projects and recognize that things are progressing even though the project still isn’t done. Hugely helpful for stress management.
Can you access your email through since other means? Tablet, computer, or old phone?
I hope it encompasses enough so companies can’t worm their way around it.
This is not necessarily a long term thing, but as the holiday season creeps up, things like ‘favorite utensils’ posts might gain some traction for people looking for gift ideas.
I really hope they’re successful. The ideals they’re working towards are great, but something I’ve learned at every point in life is that people like things easy. They like to be spoon fed, and the algorithms do exactly that. People need to want something different and that’s where I fear the biggest hurdle will be.
I’m going to venture a guess that you likely won’t find one. Technically, the newest version of Bluetooth can hit the required bandwidth, but you’d need to have both transmitter and receiver capable of receiving the most current version, which I believe is quite different from previous versions (I think Bluetooth 5 is most current).
Also, think of how easy Bluetooth can get interrupted. Ever had BT headphones on around a microwave? If you’re trying to stream 4k, any little interruption will likely cause loss of quality, like if you’re also using BT headphones near the theoretical camera. If you’re trying to use a BT camera for work or something requiring consistent quality, it may be better to get creative with your cable management.
If over the course of 100 years, nothing more newsworthy has prevailed to get people’s attention, that the doom and gloom of a century ago is the same as it is today, it’s saying something about the world in general that we haven’t changed. Should we have changed in 100 years? I’d like to think so, but as I get older I know that’s a pretty optimistic view of things.
That author’s paragraph out of context could mean a lot of different things which we can leave up to each viewer to decide.
Glad to see we’ve progressed in a hundred years time…
(/s in case you missed it)
I def used “one armed scissor” as a screen name back in high school.
