  • I program with python on and off. Its good.

I created a blank folder of py projects would build one after another. I would literally just type “python ____ project” or “python ___ tutorial” into youtube and follow along (sometimes I found blog tutorials to work from also). Starting with the most quick n simple projects, then the bigger more complex ones. This way I was quickly writing and completing new programs. Some projects I never finished but implemented useful code and learned new stuff from. This way felt I was making progress, making finished programs, and advancing. I made little math programs, games, geometry, graphical tests, etc. Some programs I could complete in hours then spend time refining them. Others i spent days coding, testing, debugging. I also watched general python related lectures just to get the bigger picture around it all.

  • CORRECT. We have more billboards and public advertisement than any other society in history. People enter their 40s and 50s still discovering new “idioms” and “customs” their family practice that originates from corporate ad campaigns from previous decades. The corporations are incentivized to grab as much of the human attention and engagement as possible, and they all are singing the same tune about “be a cut above”, “be all you can be”, “have it your way”, “just do it”.

Western TV commercials follow the same beat (hero’s journey) where a hustlegrind protagonist is on the grind, runs into a problem. Then finds their ‘excalibur’ , a magic item that helps them on their journey “insert product here”, and then conquers the final challenge to victory. This same story told 1000 times a day from 15 second soundbites to full motion picture length.
