A friend once invited me to go watch a movie with her and a couple friends. When I arrived she told me that the others couldn’t make it and she offered me a cocktail. I accepted, watched the movie (on opposite ends of the sofa) and went home. A couple months later I found out that the others were never invited.

This might be more her fault than mine, though.

I knew about Elon from some very lengthy posts on a blog called waitbutwhy that made him look like some very rad dude.

I loved that blog because it was informative and funny and it had a very hopeful view on future technologies, it all sounded incredibly exciting.

Then they made a post taking cryonics seriously and I was like “huh?”. And then I started learning who Elon really was and now I can’t trust that blog anymore.
