Disappointing that they gave that charger- my current Shokz have micro-usb, so I always have a cable (or can easily get one).

I do like the situational awareness that the Shokz provide while cycling, the only catch is that wind flowing past them will cause noise (there are 3rd-party straps that attach to your helmet that helps somewhat with this, though still imperfect).

I think turning these up can still cause tinnitus if it’s too loud for too long, and wanting to turn them up happens is the environmental noise is too loud. But they’re still outstanding. I almost always have them in, even in social settings - playing music super-low.

The plural of anecdote is not data, and I lost a family member due to side effects of Covid. If nothing else, all the published data shows at least 500k died, just in the US. I’m glad your “elders” didn’t die (interesting phrasing), but one wonders if it was because of people who were masking up, etc. Were they vaxxed? Did they go to crowded places? Were they still crowded places during the pandemic?
