I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur. Gaming is my achilles heel in that regard.
If these people think they deserve privacy then they won’t use something that by design invades their privacy. It is the users saying that their privacy doesn’t matter by using the software that doesn’t care about their privacy. You can think they deserve privacy but sadly they aren’t agreeing with you.
To play devil’s advocate this was a few months ago so perhaps Mesa has improved since then with the A770.
I am not well versed in crypto but when I tried to setup an account at many coin exchanges they wanted my govt id to track transactions due to Canada’s KYC laws. Is there a way around this ?
I have used Matrix; XMPP; Session and Jami. I like all of them but use Matrix the most as my wife prefers it and I message her the most. I have heard good things about Delta Chat but haven’t gotten around to trying it yet.
This is why you shouldn’t trust closed source software. There are alternatives such as Matrix; Mumble; Wire; Jami; etc.

I use KeepassXC on my desktops and laptops. On my Pinephone CE I use Gnome Password Manager because it is more optimized for mobile screens. On my Pixel 2 on Ubuntu Touch I use an unnoficial port of Bitwarden. Overall I use my desktop and laptops the most so KeePassXC is my go to and favorite.
I use both Tutanota and Protonmail and love both. Protonmail is based out of Switzerland where Tutanota is based out of Germany. Germany is part of fourteen eyes so I give the win to Proton there. Tutanota has lower prices. Tutanota has apps available in App Image and Flatpak for Linux where Proton is only in the AUR and as a .deb. Tutanota has an Android app on F-Droid where Protonmail you have to navigate their site to find a standalone apk. Both are on the Fediverse but Proton did leave for a while where Tutanota stayed and was more active. Overall either would be a much better otpion than Hotmail/Gmail/etc.

I use Pragma-messenger. It’s based out of Switzerland so good data privacy laws there. The website is in German though so if you don’t speak it you’ll have to use a translation extension. It’s been stable for my wife and I so far.

The only thing regarding Windows that should be on any privacy guide is the recommendation to leave Windows.
I don’t care if people are willing to give up their own privacy but it infuriates me when they’re willing to try to force me to give up mine.
You should check out Burggit. I came here because of their lack of censorship and have been happy so far. If you check out an instance and see a page long list of things you can’t say then I know it’s not the place for me.
Yep. Tried it on Trisquel to see if it would work with the libre kernel which it didn’t. Next I tried it on Garuda and on several games I couldn’t even get them to launch and on others it performed at par or worse than my RX 590.

I gave the A770 a try a few months ago and ended up returning it after a few days. I’d be open to trying it again down the road.
I can’t wait for the day when something like Godot is more popular. That being said i’ll take Unreal over Unity.
I think I bought it for $10 years ago and have played less than twenty minutes of it.
I loved the demo. Just noticed it releases in about an hour which is awesome.
