  • I’m saying overall. If you want to convince someone of something you need to actually try and do it. What I meant is help explain to people in words they might understand better why it would have been more beneficial to elect one over the other. Also the level of aggression in political ads this election period was too much. Everyone was just running a smear and fear mongering campaign against each other and that really does not help us as a society.

Even if my opinion is wrong on this. The fact that the candidate was elected through the democratic process, should dissuade rioting. That kind of show of force should be reserved for situations where someone rose to power by illegitimate means. Now if down the line Trump does something terrible (other than speaking like a moron) I’d be fully on board with more hostile measures. Protesting is okay. Rioting is going too far.

My personal stance, however popular or not it may be, is to avoid unnecessary violence.

He talks shit but does barely anything all the time. The problem is that every time for the past few election cycles, the extremist supporters of each party that loses cause trouble for normal people.

Furthermore, maybe more Democrats should have been proactive in other regions in sending the message across. I contributed along with many others in my city to getting the word out and helping spread the message to try to get Kamala elected and it is disappointing to see it didn’t happen. But immediately jumping to the conclusion it’s time to riot is rash and irresponsible.

Also, no need to resort to ad hominem immediately. Was hoping to be civil.
