Even then just from a tech support channel strategy, it’s much more efficient to read troubleshooting guides than watch a long video about whatever that takes 5 minutes to read instead…usually.

SixtyOPto Dull Men's Club@lemmy.world•GPU upgrades, hand-me-down PC getting new "old" parts.English11·18 hours agoMany feel very strongly about this indeed. Next upgrade I’m going to wear the wooliest socks, a polyester shirt, have my nephew rub my head with a balloon the whole time, and post myself shuffling on the shag carpeted floor touching a video card with 28% room humidity in the dead of winter.

Sixtyto PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Antec heard you like screens so it stuck a 5-inch screen on a water cooler just where you didn't need oneEnglish22·19 hours agoI kinda liked the AIO water blocks with circle screens for simple animation loops. Can look pretty cool. Not into this scene personally at all, but I can appreciate it’s appealing to blinged out case enjoyers.

You can search thoroughly in the fitted sheet shoved over your head to look closely and you’ll still miss the damp sock somehow.

After LTT and ElectroBOOM showed how it’s not REALLY (As in, basically not a problem) that big a risk I just don’t care much. This is not advice, and I was only half clothed. Especially no socks, and house humidity is controlled.

“That matters” is what you need to quantify with sources for me to pay that foreboding any attention. I don’t care about minuscule theoretical risks that only a mass production manufacturer need worry about. It’s not a risk that would leave me financial devastated let’s put it like that, not that it’ll happen, and I simply don’t give a singular solitary HOOT at all after 40 years doing this with no consequences.
