You upgrade every gen, why stop at Zen 3D? It’s not like you ever started with chasing top performance.

Latency added to the list of things Radeon users don’t care about. List also includes upscaling, graphics, efficiency, crack software backing, being competitive
List of things they do care about: COD fps numbers, pretending like they get more value per dollar so they can sit on their high horse over the uninformed pleb, Su-bae
The 1050 Ti has not aged well, so a low bar to clear. If one wishes to play older games and not get a neutered experience, the 1050 Ti will probably crush it, like in GTA5.
He mentions desktop pcs as being different, but ignore the comparison to laptops. Those two have roughly the same volume, with the laptop coming with a screen, keyboard, portability. There are $800 4060 laptops that will run circles around the sub 1650 performance. Needing this much cpu performance and poor graphics is a niche within a niche. I find the fascination with these mini-pcs to be odd. They remind me of the tunnel vision that reviewers seem to have with handhelds where they don’t look broadly at the market. Integrated graphics are always going to be turds. Sub $300, maybe it has a place. $630 is a hell no.
Not so fast. Literally, not so fast. AMD gpus may render 20-30% more frames per second, however you can’t call that performance because it has higher input latency without Nvidia’s Reflex. It has more motion-fluidity, but they are like fake frames because they don’t have the responsiveness of real frames. People say that’s the reason why more performance is good. So even when you win, you lose. Misleading marketing from AMD.
Great deal for the Intel sub 👍
On the same note, Allys are now on display at Best Buy. Only comes installed with FH5, and damn, the performance is terrible. Hard stutters every 3 seconds, annoying right stick placement, and poor navigation. I don’t know where people are saying it’s comfortable are coming from; it’s not very comfortable to hold up the screen that is attached to the controller.
These pc handheld makers are in for a rude awakening when they find out the pie is a lot smaller than they thought. Games sell consoles. No one gets excited enough to drop $500 because they get to (poorly) play AAA games while on the can for longer than they should be there, griming up the toilet that they never clean.
The only handheld worth buying is the Switch. Almost everything is terrible about that device, but it has unique exclusives designed for it. And is geared towards living room play with groups of people.
