If it only happens under load, that would make me suspect the motor driver. It sounds like the circuitry isn’t able to handle much current anymore, which would cause it to basically lock itself out for safety, until it’s power cycled. Most likely such a scenario isn’t communicated to the display.
I’m definitely no expert but I’ve owned a mid drive for a few years. It could possibly be the nylon gears transferring power from the motor to the bike’s gears- that happened to me early on. I’d go full throttle from a dead stop and eventually the gears sheared and binded.
Otherwise, depending on the actual sound it could be the driver fets or the motor itself. Can you post a short video or audio clip of it happening? Also does it only happen under load or can you trigger it with the back wheel off the ground?
Thank you ❤️
I would love to join you! Plans for the week are earning enough to pay for my bills and living expenses, as well as making contact with a local employment agency to help me find a job. I’ve been doing doordash for several months now and I can see how it’s absolutely killing my poor Subi :(
I’m trying to rediscover my hobbies as a way of keeping myself busy so I don’t think about buying any more poison. It’s bloody hard. Wish bottle shops weren’t so accessible- where I am literally every grocery store has a liquor store attached to it.
Nova was my jam for the longest time, then CPL (Customised Pixel Launcher) due to its google feed integration & good customisation. Now that I’ve stopped using the google feed (I get my news from reddit lemmy) as well as it isn’t actively maintained anymore, I’ve switched to Neo launcher as it’s FOSS as well as having a very light footprint and specific features such as categories in the app draw.
As an IT support officer, I (and my colleagues) deeply appreciate that you attempt to solve problems before calling us. There’s never ever any judgement if you do that and then need to call us. We’re here to help, but trying to help yourself first makes our job infinitely easier, not to mention you reaffirm your troubleshooting skills!
If you’ve genuinely tried to solve the problem but couldn’t, and the problem turns out to be that the machine wasn’t plugged in, I’m 100% not going to think less of you for it. You know many things I don’t, and visa versa.
I liken it to returning your shopping cart to the bay. You don’t have to, but you’re making someone’s day easier ❤️
I don’t know a whole bunch on the matter but it could be that the actual IC is damaged. As in, the mechanical components of it are broken or in a state that the IC can’t compensate for. Not sure what you can do other than replace the component…
Exactly. The way Android manages RAM is not the same as Windows, ie. full memory utilisation ≠ out-of-memory scenario.
Bloody hell, yeah that’s pretty shit.
That’s exactly what I was going to say. If someone loves their community enough, and has the time and willingness to do so, moderating an online community can be an extremely helpful contribution!
I’d turn the alternators into electric motors. Seats would make good desk chairs! Obviously stereo parts could be used for home audio stuff.
They be like “I’m so sorry o.O”
I’ve definitely supplemented some of my queries with chatgpt questions however I’m very concious of hallucinations, so I’m pretty iffy with it right now.
Rolling screens seems like the more practical idea, if they can become affordable and practical (practical as in similar build quality to existing standard screens)
I can’t bee-lieve this happened!
