I’m a big fan of tasmota and esphome. There’s plenty of cheap esp32 devices that you can flash these onto and all will work via regular old wifi.

Apple cider vinegar and a couple of drops of dish detergent to break the surface tension. They’ll fly into because it smells good and and drown because they can’t stand on the vinegar when there is no surface tension. Use this all the time in my kitchen.
