What does a pointy bit look like to someone who has never seen one ? You have years of experience matching your visual input of the world around you with your tactile experiences, it’s easy to forgot how much of our basic knowledge is learned at a young age.
I’m running Windows ARM just fine with parallels on my M1 MBP. Haven’t had any issues, even weird legacy software that needs serial drivers works fine. MS did a great job with the ARM version of Windows.

Wireguard is just a VPN, it can’t magically bypass any firewall or network ACLs. If you have access to change those rules then it would be the same as any other network.

When have I bitched about Linux? I’ve had a great experience with Mint, Debian, and Ubuntu. I use Linux, Windows and MacOS on a regular basis.
Some people just like to complain. Can’t fix that.
There are generic printer drivers that work fine on windows too. You generally don’t need to get the manufacturers bloated driver/utility/update/subscription package. Also that’s not really the OS’ fault, it’s the shitty printer vendors.
Personally I feel it’s worth it. If you stick with a name brand like Samsung you will get a long life out of it. The loading times are noticeably faster on SSDs.
Definitely adds to the challenge, but forces us to talk through the levels so that we move together.
