I haven’t watched the video yet, (nor do I have time to anytime soon) but as a former homeschooled kid who grew up and sent her kid to public school this is my experience/guess:
1, Homeschooled kids do better in college
2, Public school parents don’t love their kids as much (this is implied rather than outright said, but implied heavily and often)
3, “They’ll indoctrinate yer kids! They’ll turn them gay/socialist/satanic!”

From what I understand Lemmy was created by people who support Russia, China, etc. But if we avoided all platforms run by people we disagree with there’d be no platforms left.
At the end of the day there are many servers, each with their own vibe and values. You can just pick one that doesn’t ick you out. (Not YOU you, whoever is wary of Lemmy)
What’s really funny is that she was compared to a lettuce and LOST.

And what’s super fun is when you take the time to disassemble their bullshit and they hit you with, “Wow, imagine caring this much.” “Yeahhhh, I’m not reading all that.” 🙄
Basically, “I just want to spue shit uninterrupted, not engage in actual debate.”
Yes, just keep rolling over as corporations keep finding new ways to get people to accidentally subscribe to something they don’t want, only to find that unsubscribing is more complicated than they realized as well.
Don’t push back, don’t complain, it could always be worse so just accept it.
Amazon is being sued by the FTC for these practices, but I’m sure what Amazon is doing is just fine 👍🏻
