Those were not exactly conspiracy theories. They were investigated and proven. They were illegal from the start.

Fully agree. I been encouraging nuclear before global warming was mainstream.
Actually few have been proven true.
Little late now but I suggest we make some changes on our energy policy in the west. We can encourage renewable energy sources while at the same time supporting our conventional energy companies. Failing to do this has resulted in countries like Russia becoming energy giants. And all that money they make at our expense does not encourage world security.
The ‘weakened state’ could only come with far far more deaths of soldiers and Ukraine citizens and only a matter of time till this happens regardless. There certainly is a state right now in the next few months where where risk is quite high. If Wagner does succeed, I suspect all their energy will be focused inward and they will strive to become an energy powerhouse again. Particularly as the West is so willing to concede conventional energy production to countries like this. That could lead to a very unstable situation in say ten years when corruption becomes full blown.
Are you able to get some income via ads or such? I am new to Lemmy so still figuring it out. Moving from third party Reddit app that had some ads. Add that I were not obtrusive but paid there developer for his time. Feel if you can’t monetize your services to some degree, will be difficult for people like you to maintain your servers as they grow so how there is some way to make it worth it.
Thanks for doing this by the way.
The GOP occasionally make the right choice.
I can’t understand how this is even a thing. While the guy was vile, blaming everyone involved with him will not end well. Soon banks and institutions will stop dealing with people based on rumors some. Lots of innocent people will be hurt.
Reddit is a single packaged site. As said, Lemmy is distributed. I find it nearly as streamlined as Reddit but the flexibility of picking your servers means some functions are not consistent across all platforms. Can not expect to do things the same way or get the same answers always when asking Lemmy specific questions. That can be confusing to those that are not particularly tech savy in network systems. Which is a large percentage of the population.
Just arrived recently. I like it here. Always felt Reddit was going the way of every other popular site. Think I myself would have trouble giving up the billion dollar payout so can understand it. But I do not have to like it and they are not going to get my few dollars as a subscriber. I don’t need the horrible app and new design focused on advertising.
Question. I see the up and down votes randomly on Sopuli. Some show, other don’t. I do like the feature as it gauges the support for certain positions. Is there a reason I do not see them?
I am not certain that Putin would not use nuclear weapons given the chance. But I think his wealthy allies and high level leaders would put a kibosh on that. Putin may be willing to accept the consequences but I doubt many of those that keep him in power would be willing to make that sacrifice. For that reason, I think there is little chance and should he even try, I suspect he would rapidly be eliminated in an ‘accident’.
That will improve his support.
Clicks and money because people actually click on it. To me it was a boring story other than I was interested in why carbon fiber was such a bad choice. I learned something. I find desperate people doing while trying to make it to a better life far more newsworthy than someone dying while doing a voluntary hobby/event. Particularly when that event was risky.
