I don’t know if MechanicalHeadPens has been created as a community yet, maybe I’ll create one unless someone has a link.
I have a Preonic at home that I swap to occasionally but every time I open a game I always reach for my staggered. The Preonic also has Kailh Box Navy Thick Clicks so it’s not conducive to gaming at all in my opinion, I loved the switches when I first got them but I’ve grown out of them.
Ghult Varrak from the May release My Mini Factory Varrak
Thank you! I’m planning to give blending a shot on the sword, still not finished with it yet.
Thank you, it was my first try at hand routing a case. I wish I would have gone a little bit deeper but the jig and router bit I used limited the depth.
I’ve been switching back and forth for a couple of years now, I use an ortho at my desk, my laptop keyboard on my commute and a staggered 60% at home (still can’t get used to gaming on a 40% ortho.) The staggered vs ortho switch doesn’t bother me but I use home row mods on my 40’s and that constantly throws me off when they are not available.
It is, I have pens that I spent a lot more money on but it’s still my favorite.
I just bought my printer a couple of months ago and I was shocked at how much the prices have come down. I think the entire setup with a printer (Mars 3 ultra), cure/wash station and a bottle of resin only ran me $350 so it’s not exactly cheap but a few months without latte’s (if that’s your thing) would pay for one. And honestly you could get away without the cure/wash station and save another $100.
Totally agree, they have some amazing sculpts. I just finished printing out their gigantic orc from May and am close to putting some paint on it; not enough time in the day.
In a way, I printed the STL from Archvillain Games on a resin printer and then painted it. Archvillain gets all of the credit for the sculpt and they do some awesome work.
Honestly? It’s all in the lighting, they look very flat in person.
I was not aware of Calibre-Web, will be hosting that myself soon.
Layers, lots of layers. I generally only use 3 layers on a regular basis and once you get used to it it’s hard to go back for general typing.
