While it’s not inconceivable that you could see an offshoot try to replace the Republicans, I doubt it would happen.

It really depends heavily on timing. If Trumpism fades almost immediately after the election, the GOP can probably survive. If not, there is a good chance of it being replaced. All that would need to happen would be 2 critical steps. (1) A few big conservative big names announce the formation of a traditional conservative party that rejects Trumpism. (2) Over the next couple of years a wave of incumbant GOP senators and congressmen announce they are moving to the new party to break free of MAGA. That new party might still caucus with the GOP but would have a huge amount of leverage over it.

The less of a threat Republicans are, the less incentive establishment Democrats have to put the needs of voters ahead of their sponsors.

That’s totally fine. The short term reason for a new conservative party is to split the vote and insure the MAGA GOP cannot win. The medium/long term goal would be to replace the GOP as one of the 2 major political parties, just like when the GOP replaced the Whig Party. The way this would happen would be for a significant number of incumbant GOP senators and congressmen to announce they are moving to the new conservative party.

A second conservative party that disowns Traitorapist Trump would be a political earthquake. Conservatives would then be 100% certain that MAGA is making them lose.

Medicare Disadvantage Plans suck money out of the system from 3 different sides.

(1) They cost the government more money per patient than real Medicare

(2) They falsely denied 18% of valid claims according to Medicare’s Inspector General. They also screw customers by denying people specialists , requiring prior approvals etc.

(3) They cost providers more money by increasing the manpower they need to get their payments by throwing up hassles.

“Medicare Brokers” get gigantic commissions (not just the first year but EVERY year someone is on the same plan) to push Medicare Disadvantage Plans on people who don’t know any better.

There is a also a SECOND medicare scam from the GOP for people who wisely avoid Medicare Disadvantage called “Accountable Care Organizations”. The bottom line is that you cannot trust your primary doctor’s advice on when to seek a specialist because they pay doctors to discourage you from seeking a specialist when you need one. They don’t give you a choice about belonging to an ACO but they do have to notify you when they stick you in an ACO, so at least you know when your primary doctor has a financial incentive to discourage you from getting treatment.

First, you haven’t given any specific examples of “tipping the scales”. 2nd, for “tipping the scales” to work, Sanders would have had to be very close to Clinton in support. He had signficant support certainly but unfortunately not close enough for the outcome to be in doubt.

Nothing is stopping you from using a computer as a standalone machine not connected to the internet. Then you have a machine just like the ones in the 1970’s and 1980’s except for having much more memory/processor/diskspace etc. I would say you have a better OS also, except that Linux is basically the same OS as my SCO Xenix 386 I had in the 1980’s.
