Yeah I’ve done this a few times. I used to work in construction, so jobs would often not be quite what they seemed from the job description, and sometimes the hiring people would lie. At one former job, I found out I was getting paid less than I was told in the interview, so I walked out. One job I worked for a day or two until we had to go up on a roof with bare joists and no one tied off. When I mentioned safety concerns they called me a pussy so I walked off. Nothing is worth falling off a roof into a bunch of construction debris.

It’s okay! You won the game. They lied before when they said it couldn’t be won.
You’re free.
Wow, I love this so much. Great choice of colour for this, it really pops. I might have to look in to doing this to my deck.
100%, especially if I’m watching a show I’ve seen before. Currently watching Parks and Rec for the… 10th time?
There’s something about having an out at any time with the shorter episodes. I know that I’m easily distracted but won’t miss something, because I’ve seen it before. Watching a movie takes a lot more effort because I want to give the movie the attention it deserves, and there aren’t clear intermissions.
BRING BACK INTERMISSIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH ADHD AT HOME
It is always important to celebrate the small victories in the class war
As others on this thread have said, ADHD medication at the proper doses can be a real life changer for motivation on these tasks that feel totally walled off.
SSRIs and other antidepressants are super helpful for keeping you out of those deep dark days, but I didn’t find it helped me much with motivation alone. Once I found the right SSRI and the right stimulant medication (Prozac and vyvanse for me), I started finding it a lot easier to just get chores done when I thought of them. If it’s something I can’t do right now (like groceries), I just write it down in my Reminders lists so that I’m not scrambling when I go out to get groceries. The apple reminders app is basically my second brain, and I always write down stuff I gotta do that I’m prone to forget about in there.
So glad I’m not the only one annoyed by this! This app is lovely but the text posts are a little ridiculous sometimes.

Haha you and me both commented about dark souls literally minutes apart, what a world.
Probably a classic answer, but Dark Souls. Played it a bunch of times and really hated how clunky it was, it felt unfair and poorly made, and the graphics felt a little outdated.
Then I took a couple months break, looked up some guides on how to get good and it became my absolute favourite game of all time.
The sequels are all good too! Bloodborne also rules! Elden Ring is the bomb too!
On the flip side, I really liked the idea of Sekiro until I played through it for a while. Then I got very mad that I wasn’t getting better and gave up. I’ve heard this is a common gripe for people like me that like to dodge in the game a lot.
I adore jumping spiders, why are they SO CUTE?
