Maybe you’d consider adding this original icon I made to the client as it doesn’t have any Apollo/Reddit references? There seems to be at least some demand for it in my other post

I think the eyes are pretty critical unfortunately. I agree that it could be simplified a bit. When scaled down on a home screen it looks a bit detailed. Here’s a simplified version. I’ve reduced the strength of the nose and whiskers, and hidden the bottom whiskers under the visor. I’ve also removed the grid texture from the visor and the details from the space suit. I also made the moon darker so that the shadow on the left side of the torso isn’t a problem anymore. Let me know what you think.

Yeah, you’re totally right! You inspired me to have another stab at an icon without an antenna.

I decided to have another go at an icon, this time ditching any Apollo inspiration and the antenna. I posted it in a new thread here.

I can understand why you might not be keen to add these. I’m not sure Christian would be too keen, and I don’t particularly want to bother him to find out. Also, having thought about some other people’s feedback in this thread, I don’ think the antenna makes sense. I decided to have another stab, but tried some original ideas and ditched the Apollo trappings. Here’s something that could just be Voyager. Let me know what you think. I could make these all day!

I’ll do another variant with the antenna and the bottom eyes for you. Will share it later on when I’m back at my desk.
