Same boat. It still looks alright on a resume, some jobs require it or similar, and taking the test is definitely a pain.
Yes. I like Mastodon, but Reddit was exactly as you described. I got real value out of it, and I hope that something coalesces to take its place.
I’m finally trying to drag us into using some network configuration automation. I just got nautobot installed and am starting to configure it. After that, on to the actual automation part. I’m still working on figuring out what I’ll use for that, maybe NAPALM but I’m also looking at netmiko. It’s gonna be a long road, but I think it’ll pay dividends in the long term.
