Enjoy the fediverse !
Checking in at 2 weeks without Reddit, and I’m so happy that this forcing function got me to discover Lemmy and the fediverse. I enjoy it so much more, I’m browsing multiple instances and it feels like the days I discovered Reddit.
As for apps, just FYI Lemmy and KBin are progressive web apps so you can click “add to home screen” and get an app for free, I’ve been using it that way exclusively so far and it works well enough for me.

It’s not the first time that a game is a freebie for a second time. You can see the history of free games here: https://www.pcgamer.com/epic-games-store-free-games-list/
The Hunter: Call of the Wild was also free previously, around December 2021.
It’s also not the first time that a free game is “given away”, but usually it means that it’s some in-game purchase / DLC that is free. I think that’s the case with Idle Champions as well but I haven’t played it to confirm !
I’m someone who sticks to skill-based hobbies for months / years.
What keeps me interested in a given hobby for a long period of time is the dopamine hit of the reward at the end, and once I achieve one thing I want to move on to the next.
In a sense, my interests within a hobby change frequently depending on my achievements, but I also know that the kind of achievements available get “better” with time: You can’t beat the final boss if you don’t beat the first boss !
