I don’t think this rules out finding ET via technology, just via mega structures. A sustainable civ would still have satellites and such. Possibly even in system asteroid mining.

This article is written every month. I swear I’ve seen the headline every month for the past four years.
It’s a licensing issue. Sony owns the rights to all this sub par characters that only work when Spiderman is involved.
I can’t imagine using one of these without a trackpad.
Couldn’t Distrobox get you through that?
What application are you trying to tweak?
I loved it. Especially for the multiplayer combined with player made DLC.
I should also say I use portainer for some graphical hand holding. And I run watchtower for updates (although portainer can monitor GitHub’s and run updates based on monitored merged).
For simplicity I create all my volumes in the portainer gui, then specify the mount points in the docker compose (portainer calls this a stack for some reason).
The volumes are looped into the base OS (Truenas scale) zfs snapshots. Any restoration is dead simple. It keeps 1x yearly, 3x monthly, 4x weekly, and 1x daily snapshot.
All media etc… is mounted via NFS shares (for applications like immich or plex).
Restoration to a new machine should be as simple as pasting the compose, restoring and restoring the Portainer volumes.
Use portainer + watchtower
I use the *arr suite, a project zomboid server, a foundry vtt server, invoice ninja, immich, next cloud, qbittorrent, and caddy.
I pretty much only use prebuilt images, I run them like appliances. Anything custom I’d run in a vm with snapshots as my docker skills do not run that deep.
I love docker, and backups are a breeze if you’re using ZFS or BTRFS with volume sending. That is the bummer about docker, it relies on you to back it up instead of having its native backup system.
I’m going to second this. It runs Android apps with a little bit of config.
That’s all I want
Something about it just clicked for me, I think the movement and rewarding lateral thinking. I could immediately feel BF Bad Company and 2142 in the first match I played, so much so I looked up who the lead devs were and was not surprised they had been at DICE forever and bailed on the shit show that was 2042.
My friends have definitely bounced off of it, but I’ve encouraged them to keep going (after I got gud) and they all seem to really like it.
I just love that the combat loop is so tight. It takes the most exciting element out of Apex Legends, getting thirded, and makes that the main focus. Then throws out all of the boring shit in a battle royal like gearing up or having a teammate that’s dead for 20min while you navigate the circles. Also games are the perfect length if you’ve got a busy life.
And then the gadgets, as I said before they add a lot of lateral thinking. You might be able to outgun me, but maybe I can put strategize you. Combined with the destructive environments it’s so freaking fun.
Tbh, I think it’s the best FPS on the market. Definitely my favorite in the past decade.
I’m so bummed I missed out on S2 tv head. I started on S4.
I love it all the way to extraction shooter.
That’s a lot if communication for someone that’s working for free.
