Any news here?
Looks like it slashes around a lot
I just noticed a feature that I would like to see on Memmy. When you tap one of the bottom nav buttons (like Feed), it gets you to the top; it would be really nice that once you’re at the top, a double tap could refresh the feed without having to pull down the feed itself.
Reminds me more to Edward Scissorhands’ neighbour
For a moment there I thought the update broke the app as I just opened it after updating and nothing loaded… apparently it was just a coincidence with the usual lemmy.ml overload lol
Kudos for the hard work on the backend, I know these are not usually the most flashy updates but are also crucial for performance and scalability, so congratulations for the hard work!
Or at least in the post description lol, thanks to you I know his name now.
Similar experience here. I set the app to follow the system config, so during the day and I open Memmy, it first shows with the dark theme and then switches to light; same thing the other way around, it first opens with light theme on the night, them switches to dark.
Hope that’s clear enough 😅 english is not my native language.
In Whakoom, a spanish website to keep track of your comics collection, they have this functionality to add different editions to the same book, so they are linked and you can search other editions when you’re seeing the book details.

Alexandrite (a website, desktop-first Lemmy interface) just added this feature in yesterday’s update. And yeah, it would be really nice to have this on Memmy.
Just tested it. Love it! Thanks a lot for the answer and specially for the quick implementation.
A little request, if I may. I’m currently using the column view, and when I want to close a post I have to scroll all the way back up to the start. It would be really useful if the close button (maybe with upvote, downvote and other buttons) could stay fixed while scrolling down in some kind of navbar.
Any news on an iOS release, maybe on TestFlight?
