I don’t think it will die for quite some time, but Linux distributions will eventually all switch to Wayland as support grows.
Xorg will survive for a long time. X is still part of many BSD flavors, other UNIX variants, and academic institutions still use it. The project will continue to be maintained for years as some die-hard contributors stay aboard.

I noticed they pushed out a new version today—a UI overhaul. Make sure your client is updated, and maybe it’s fixed. I know many problems I’ve experienced have been due to Wayland’s weirdness too.
I’m on Fedora 38 (Workstation edition) and noticed Steam wouldn’t let me interact with it when I woke from sleep this morning. It did not crash, though.
I’ve used duckduckgo for so long now that I prefer their proxied bing results to Google on most things.
