Is there national coverage for the Calder?
First thing searched for, glad it’s here!!!
Made the move a few years back and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. Health care is free as long as you have legal status here, so a work permit will do you just fine at first.
Allot of what Canadians complain about are problems every country has or are having. The difference is, it’s just not as bad here! Minimum wage is actually liveable, at least where I am and the healthcare wait times are nothing compared to some European countries.
That being said, outside of bigger towns/cities Canada for sure has a real racism problem that no one really talks about. And be prepared for allot of people to ask you “why did you even want to come here, this country sucks”
There are a bunch of programs available for people to get work permits, basically set up for you to give Canada a try and see if you like it. Hopefully my little rant gives you a bit more of an insight!
