Heck, your air conditioner, your car, your phone (Linux/bsd).
I didn’t know that a 1977 ford pickup truck ran linux, how is that even possible when when this truck doesn’t even have an onboard computer. Don’t try and tell me you know my truck better than I know it, I’ve rebuilt the engine twice. There is no computer chips in this truck, except for the tape deck, which is aftermarket but still way to old to really be considered a computer.
Bad analogy. Water isn’t designed and built for criminal applications. The dark web, it’s infrastructure, and the Linux it runs on absolutely is.
When you’re young you think it’s all fun and games, but once you start it reality sets in and it stops being fun, take it from an ex-cop who’s seen some shit. Don’t pursue that life.
I used to work as an officer and I interrogated a lot of drug dealers and druggies. None of them had anything in common with the edgy kid on the top. He or she wouldn’t last 20 minutes on the street, and that’s being generous.
Linux is a primary tool for criminals to hide their illegal work. It’s what the dark web is built on, and what its most prolific merchants use. Linux has no legitimate merit, it should be banned or heavily regulated. People who talk about Linux sucking never seem to address these problems, this is what you should be addressing first guys. It’s way worse than buggy and complicated, it’s criminal.
I think this one is more accurate for the people linux is made by and especially made for:
Kids, stay safe. Don’t use criminal software just because you saw it on YouTube and it sounded cool. A life of crime really isn’t cool, you WILL caught, arrested, and convicted, and prison ain’t what it is like in the movies. You’ll wish you didn’t when it happens to you. Stay safe, stay away from drugs, the dark web, and especially Linux.
It’s obvious they just want to cheat, linux users aren’t known for being good trustworthy people. The project in fact caters to criminals (spies, hackers, and even drug dealers. It isn’t at all shocking that they also harbor cheaters as well.
Conviently ignores the XZ incident knowing full well it proves the point. Keep on coping.
He’s retired, what vested interest do you think he has. You think he gets money for talking about the working conditions at MS, I bet MS would really rather him not talk about what it’s like at the company even if he is careful not to spill secrets. They don’t discuss that stuff themselves for reasons ya know.
This is like a whole new level of Linux cope here, trying to argue that a guy who is retired has is pushing an agenda to help Microsoft despite not working there anymore and being retired all because he says things about the shitty open source development structure you don’t like.
Dave Plumber talked about how much more secure Windows’ development is against backdoors https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CR7i1UfBtQM
Yet everyone seems to have so much faith in an OS with a less competent development team and one that is composed largely of criminals no less, who’s target audience is criminals 🙄
I think you’re coping, there are lots of cool games that don’t run on Linux.
Bonus points for being salty that you can’t cheat in online games because of kernel level anti-cheat.
