  • I generally have the same feeling with online FPS games. I used to play Battlefield 3, 4 & 1 a lot. Eventually I realize those games are so intense, and I’d get tired so easily. They still sounds fun to play but I don’t want to deal with the intensiveness, the competitiveness of the game so I never come back, but they still are good games.

  • YES! Noita!

It’s so fun to mix and match various wands and spells, to create satisfying projectile, explosions. There would be a lot of explosions, falling sands, and you’ll be definitely dying a lot (a lot of them would be from your own fault loll), but that’s part of the fun & satisfaction.

Although, dying is quite frustrating overtime. So go ahead use some mods from workshop that adds the chances to stay alive like health item, etc.

  • Yes it does have the Thunderbolt 3! The firmware is bricked though, I’d try to figure out to fix it later. Tried before, but can’t fix it with fwupdmgr or manually downloading the firmware.

Actually I also just realized, EUR 600 is about the same price of refurbished P52 in my country. My P52s is also refurbished, bought 4 months ago.

eGPU has the reputation for being more expensive than a good PC on people around me. I myself haven’t really do a lot of look around for their prices. They said that it can cost for around (converted to) EUR 500 to 800 or more for both enclosure and the GPU.

But I just did a bit of look up, the enclosure is ranging from EUR 40 to 160, and there’s also more expensive option. The GPU itself is definitely more varied. A 3070 TI is roughly around EUR 500. But RX 6700 XT is EUR 190… The prices are not reachable for me atm, but they seem to be lower than what people said. I guess it’s a possibility in the future, I should do more research on the prices.

  • That’s lovely! If I could squeeze a bit more money I could get P52, but I can only afford P52s for like USD 550 in my country :3 The P52 was about USD 200 more. It’s got the i7-8650u, Quadro P500, 16 GB RAM.

But so far the P52s is the most high-end machine I ever had, and it’s been great for a lot of stuff except Unreal Engine. Dealing with UE4 made me realize that 16 GB ram is not enough, and the 2 GB VRAM of the P500 is not very enough. Megascans 4K & 8K textures are killing me, lol. But I can still deal with textures less than 512px size. But I play game nicely with this.

And I agree about the speakers, a lot of people ThinkPad speakers are pretty basic. I cannot hear any bass at all from this machine. At least listening from a headphone sounds good enough. Although some says that apparently the newer X1 got a good speaker.
