  • Coconut flavor

Slang: Disparaging and Offensive. a person of color, especially a person of Latin American or South Asian origin or descent, who is regarded as having adopted the attitudes, values, and behavior thought to be characteristic of middle-class white society, at the expense of their ethnic heritage. Compare Oreo.

Actually, I would argue these days it usually gets referenced exclusively to describe politicians who don’t represent the same values their cultural background would, usually in a downside.

Don’t think Ben and Jerry’s is playing some double speak here, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

  • People fear the same thing about Valve.

One wrong person and we could all end up in the same money milk machine as EA.

I know people complain about Linus hurling insults at merge requests, but his rigidness is what keeps the kernel viable. If it weren’t for him, google would have already shit all over it with a mega fork and essentially cornered the market like they did with Android and HTTP3.

Both are technically “open source”, yet Google essentially dictates what they want or need for their economic purpose, like ignoring JPEGXL, forcing AVIF, making browsers bloaty, using manifestv3, etc. Android is even worse and may as well be considered separate from Linux because it’s just google’s walled garden running on the linux kernel.

He is open to new technology, but he understands the fundamental effects of design choices and will fight people over it to prevent the project from fracturing due to feature breaking changes, especially involving userspace.

  • Yeah except we give them free access to our entire intelligence network, do free spotting with drones and airplanes, and manage their supply chain by sending two whole carrier strike groups to patrol the sea.

They also have a known base with US personnel there, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they also have a covert base as well.

You’re still probably right though because pretty much no surrounding country has any reason to challenge Israel. Egypt, Jordan, and KSA are all essentially US shills. Syria has zero interest, Lebanon barely has a functional military force. Israel would have no issue dealing with any of them with its own troops. That being said though, their goal is to have a forever war which means they won’t actually try to do a full offensive. They’ll just sit back and remotely bomb everyone like they are already doing in Gaza.

  • I’m honestly doubtful Trump would make any additional difference considering Biden didn’t do anything to reduce Israel’s insanity. He’d still have to let congress pass the big stuff, and Biden approved every single smaller sale bar holding up one shipment temporarily.

Everyone keeps saying “yeah but Trump would be worse for Gaza” just because he did the whole embassy thing, but this really looks as if it’s maxed out.

Even from a purely utilitarian perspective assuming this is true, I’d rather take my final stand and be wiped out than to be continuously subjected to essentially warcrime torture for the remainder of my life.

Harris already made it clear that her policy with Israel won’t change. Her campaign decided that the amount of votes in this group do not matter (which I completely disagree with), which is why she barred them from talking at the DNC, despite the fact that they were offering to endorse her. She went all in on the AIPAC funding and lobby though.

This is basically their last desperate call to get the DNC to change their minds (probably won’t happen), so I guess I’ll see you all in r------- red Michigan this year.
