  • I mean the dude basically developed protein shakes and Jeet-kun do which is considered the precursor to modern MMA and jkd students have historically done well in professional fighting. He won a boxing tournament in Hong Kong before his US emigration. Obviously we don’t know how he’d fare in further professional fighting, but I think it is a reach to say he didn’t do it because he wouldn’t do well. He simply wanted to be an actor not a professional fighter.

Yeah, he’s overhyped but he was still a cool dude.

  • No, I don’t believe you should do it if it is going to make you struggle more long-term. At what point do we just agree a given amount of money you don’t have is stupid to spend. If someone spent $1,000+ that they can’t actually pay on a t swift concert at 25% interest, yeah, maybe you’d be in a better situation for 2y if you avoided that extra few hundred in interest for like 4y. Preventing my own struggle certainly better than a few hours of entertainment and hearing loss.

I do believe people should be paid enough to afford joys in life without struggling so much but that’s not the system we have.

I love how easily people are strawmanning this into something I didn’t say.

  • Female libido is societally oppressed so it isn’t talked about is different than it not existing. It certainly isn’t just guys that have sex or masturbate. As with everyone libido varies individual to individual. Guys coming in to ER after sticking their dick in whatever or whatever up their butt is the same rate as gals coming in to ER after sticking whatever up their vagina or butt.

  • Yeah, mental illness isn’t really the word I’m going for but its the most intelligible one that my brain came up with. Mental “issues” sounds worse imo. I was trying to include people with actual mental illnesses like gAD, depression, etc but I’m not going to write out the whole DSM-V

I mean various mental illnesses are involved with anxiety. As a generality say 90% of people are fine 5% can get through but prefer not to 4% prefer help/support but can manage life and 1% need the help/support and probably haven’t difficulty otherwise. The 95% don’t understand and that makes help/support for the 1% often comes from the 4%.
