That’s because a lot of the volume comes from OEM deals.
My best guess is that Intel just does a better job of serving OEMs from a business perspective. This includes thunderbolt as a competitive advantage (though USB4 will evaporate that)
Also laptops… For low power things Intel still does VERY well. Alderlake isn’t bad at low power levels.
You’re probably fine with the 12700k for a bit longer.
Might be worth jumping onto X3D version of Zen 5 though, but that’s likely 6-12 months out.
