Yeah, I went and checked their stuff out in person. Feels really solid. What bummed me out is that their manual recliners require you to go with a separated ottoman that doesn’t tuck away, and while the powered recliners do tuck the footrest away when not in use, I didn’t really want to get a powered recliner if I could avoid it.
Yeah, they’re certainly comfortable but holy crap are they ugly-looking. I went to the La-Z-Boy store near me and everything looked like the kind of chunky overstuffed furniture my grandparents used to have. Again, absolutely not debating the comfort – but it’s gotta pass the aesthetic test, at least to some degree.
Any specific models they carry with more of a contemporary look that you’d recommend?
Yeah, it’s also the headpeeking mechanic that ruins it for me. Weird that they seem to want to encourage that style of play.
The confusing part is that it’s looking like the Quest Pro has better controllers (tracked completely independently of the HMD), Quest Pro potentially has the better screens, but Quest 3 will have better GPU performance.
For a purely/predominantly Airlink player, could the QP still be the better option? An open question would be if the Q3’s improved performance yields better Airlink/VD decode performance.
Definitely wanting to see more on this one, I’m a Pop1 player but I’ve felt dirty about it ever since Facebook bought Big Box. Hoping they can deliver – has Contractors kept improved graphics on the PC version even since releasing their game on Quest standalone?
Ahh, this is awesome. My wife and I play this game flatscreen with our friends but have been wanting to get everyone to setup the VR mod so we could play on our Quests over Airlink. Excited to give this a go.
I guess this is kind of a troll comment, but Moonlight off a gaming PC or a cloud node with a GPU is actually a pretty perfect companion for the MBP’s 120Hz screen.
