That’s a perfectly sensible question. But alas, i’ve tried many different NordVPN servers and no luck:
AUTH: Received control message: AUTH_FAILED
This being the very same username/password pair which allows a login on the NordVPN page

fair 'nuf. but that ‘requires’ a: use … instead. That is, you recommend …?
Here’s a quote from a generally good Lemmy howto
To mitigate spam bots, most lemmy instances require new user accounts to be explicitly approved. This may take a few minutes or a few hours. In the meantime, go for a walk, read through the official Lemmy documentation, or browse through all the available Lemmy Subreddits Communities while you wait.
units, always surprised that this old unix staple isn’t main repository. try:
units ‘40 rods/hogshead’ ‘miles/gallon’
as a nod to grampa simpson. have used ‘units’ in all sorts of DIY engineering efforts.
ah. now armed with that extra information, i can only profess cluelessness. perhaps a “–verbose” option, well watched, would reveal something (maybe) good luck!
i believe that is what will be used by reflector if it is enabled/started as a systemd service. but, i think, that’ll not be used if you’re just calling it on the command-line. in that latter case, i think you must supply (those) command-line switches on …the command-line. (maybe)
Could you include what you’re currently using for the various reflector command-line switches? (e.g. --age --protocol --sort …)
This is likely my new home for all random things archlinux. Thank you for establishing it.
UPDATE3: NordVPN changed stuff as regards OpenVPN access and apparently told no one (not even their support folks!). You must now go to their login page and pursue “manual setup” which apparently ends one with a new username/password pair. But it’s not made clear how long (perhaps one session?) these will last. Well, mateys i’m likely to kiss NordVPN goodbye for this. @#$!!! (there’s a reddit post about this, forgive me for offering a reddit link but there’s little else here it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/nordvpn/comments/14l7r7k/anyone_else_unable_to_login/ )
